    • When is your membership open?

      We open seasonally; the next opening is Thursday 1st April - Sunday 4th April 2021. There are special waitlist-only offers so sign up now to make sure receive these!

      What level are these classes for?

      These classes are both accessible to beginners and also inspiring to intermediate and more advanced artists.

      What if I'm an absolute beginner?

      Beginners are welcome and these classes will give you the opportunity to rise to the challenge as we guide you clearly through each step with plenty of support and opportunities for recaps.

      What if I'm already confident with the basics?

      As an intermediate or more advanced artist you can go go at your own pace and follow your creative impulses using the class guidance as a springboard.

      Do I need to do all of the sketches?

      It is entirely up to you how many sketches you do and when you do them. You can post any sketch for feedback whenever you're ready and at a time that suits you.

      What materials do I need ?

      Weekly materials lists will be sent out on Saturdays. If you already have art materials such as coloured pencils, fine liners and watercolours you may not need to buy more materials. Members can suggest materials to explore.

      What if I can't get get online?

      You'll receive weekly downloadable guides and printable references via e-mail so you can get your creative 'me-time' wherever you are.

      I've never used Zoom before, is there support for this?

      Our calls are super simple and you'll receive step by step instructions for how to download Zoom and join the call. Our team behind the scenes can give you guidance on the call as well.

      Can I be incognito?

      On the call you can always choose whether to have your video on or off. There is no expectation for you to share your work in the Facebook group although we highly recommend it so you can benefit from moving forward with wonderful support and feedback.

      What if I can't attend live?

      We've got you covered! All the sessions are recorded and released every Saturday. Some members attend the first session live and then watch the second session recording. Some members use the recordings mostly.

      Why join these classes when there are Youtube videos?

      We give you personal guidance and encouragement, so you're not just taking a class, you're part of a safe, supportive, caring community. You're not alone. We're here creating with you, answering your questions, and cheering you on!

      What is your refund policy?

      You can cancel at any time. To cancel your membership, contact greatnightout@secretartparties.co.uk You will have access until the end of the month that you have paid for. Annual Memberships are partially refundable. The refund amount will be calculated based on duration of the membership and the full monthly price.

      ✅ As an SSP Member you will have unlimited access to recordings of all classes so you'll be able to follow along whenever you want and at your own pace. Currently, links to recordings are sent out every Saturday via e-mail. with access to previous videos on request.


      ✅ You will also have access to an additional hour of guidance from me to go towards completing your sketch after our first session so you'll have more support to develop your tone, detail and colouring skills in a variety of media including coloured pencil, water colour, acrylic and more.


      ✅ You will be able to access the classes either live via Zoom or recorded via the Saturday Member e-mail so that you can choose a time that suits you to take your creative 'me-time'.

       

      ✅ You will have access to full Members' Guidebooks to go alongside the videos so you can access the class content both online and offline.

       

      ✅ You will also have the opportunity to input on skills focuses and the subjects we sketch so you get to choose what we do.

       

      ✅ SSP Members are prioritised for actionable feedback in the Secret Sketch Party Facebook group so that you have all the support, guidance and top tips you need to make art you'll love.

       

      ✅ The timings are 18:50 - 20:00 BST for the free session then 20:20 BST onwards for the Members' session. (Minimum of 4 hours extra tuition per month)

       

      ✅ Eventually, you will have access to members only prices for one off purchases such as pre-recorded painting tutorials or 1-1 coaching and feedback calls.

       

      ✅ Excitingly, You will have access to pre-sale members only tickets to my summer art retreat in 2021, the perfect thing to look forward to for some of that creative 'me-time'.

      Guests of all abilities are clearly and gently guided through a step by step process to create artworks using a variety

      Hi, My name is Lewis Chapman and I am the founder of Secret Art Parties. You can see me nestled up at the top left corner on the Zoom call screenshot above. I am an artist and art teacher with over a decade of teaching experience; I trained to teach Art at The University of Cambridge, UK and I have a Master of Arts from Cambridge School of Art, UK. I am represented by New York based online gallery artspace.com and most importantly, I LOVE guiding students to gain amazing art skills while having fun and making friends in our online community.

       

      Before lockdown in 2020 we used to run live painting events in pubs and bars (see below) but when that all stopped we chose to go online and boy, am I glad we did! Now, instead of guiding guests to paint a masterpiece at one off events limited by 4 walls, we offer a membership where members from all over the world can take regular creative 'me-time' from home, make friends, and grow their art skills as part of a wonderful online community. If you're looking to get creative, have fun and learn new skills with some lovely supportive people- you are in the right place!
